BUDAPEST FILM AWARDS
Feedback from Rita Zsédely
What I loved the most about the screening of Wednesday, was that each movie represented different genres and styles. My absolute favorite was a student’s movie titled „Masel Tov Cocktail”, which is one of the most entertaining social criticisms I have ever seen. https://www.timesofisrael.com/short-film-masel-tov-cocktail-explodes-stereotypes-about-young-jews-in-germany/
This movie can be really motivating to all the students, who study in this field, as we could see that not only high budget movies can be successful. Besides all the laughing and humor, some movies reminded us about our era’s sad reality and the differences and difficulties that everyday people have to face in other countries.
The movie titled „The Present” was not only thought-provoking but touching as well. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11474480/
I would gladly recommend it to everyone.
All in all, each film was unique and interesting in its own way, therefore I believe that everyone in the audience could find something that matched their taste. I am glad that I had the chance to attend this event.
